Welcome! I'm Julia, a Texan transplant from Florida. I unintentionally fell in love with my pen pal from college, and we have been very intentionally married almost 14 years. My life centers around raising our brood of boys and figuring out how to be a freelance writer/blogger and fitness instructor with the small gaps in between basketball practice, piano lessons and and mud maintenance. I love the Lord and my Catholic faith, I love my husband, my family and friends. Life is a gift and I want to share the goodness I've been given everywhere I go. My hope is that as I travel through my life, my words might bring encouragement to others....in the form of laughter, tears and perhaps the occasional face-palm. :) And please! O Lord,
I need your help today.
I want to care
for those you've sent into my life,
to help them develop the special gifts
you've given them.

But I also want to free them
to follow their own paths
and to bring their loving wisdom
to the world.

Help me
to embrace them without clutching,
to support them without suffocating,
to correct them without crushing.

And help me
to live joyfully and playfully, myself,
so they can see your life in me
