Our Spring break was a nice blend this year of a few outings, a few visits with friends and lots of time spent together outside and indoors. It was just what we all needed! :)
Papa gave us passes to the Natural Science Museum in Houston and we scoured the place for as long as our feet could take it! Energy exhibits, Gems, Texas Wildlife, Dinosaurs and MORE! What a great place for growing curiousities and imaginations to run wild!
We had a picnic at the Cherie Flores gardens beforehand. It was lovely to see all the families gathered, young children, elderly couples, dogs of all kinds and many cultures represented. It felt a little bit like heaven, I must say.
The boys had to pause to climb some rocks and be photographed. :)
Aunt Les popped over to see us before getting ready for a friend's wedding.
And we got to have frozen yogurt and stroll with the newly-weds-to-be! :) Then we headed home for dinner and a sleepover with Grandma and Papa.
Uncle Steve and Mike took these boys to an awesome Aggie baseball game - we won BIG TIME!
We saw Zootopia with friends and had sleepovers.
And a superhero backyard picnic!
And later on in the week we made a day trip past many wildflowers to La Grange, Tx for some hiking on Monument Hill. It was a perfect, PERFECT day, in every way! It was also a very significant day for our family as it was Bronius' father's birthday, the feast day of St. Joseph and Jonas' baptism day!
We toured the ruins of the old Kreiske brewery.
And later stopped in Round Top to visit the Gardens. We could have explored for hours.
We stopped in Burton on the way home for a French country dinner at the Brazos Belle.
And after one of the most picturesque country drives at sunset I shall ever remember, we returned home. So thankful for this time to explore, relax and reconnect with family! We hope you are enjoying all the hope and renewal that Spring brings, too!
