Happy Birthday, Grandpa Harold!

My Grandpa turned 89 today! We gathered yesterday to celebrate him at my parents house, and we reminisced about all the years he has seen come and go. He is a war veteran who has survived World War II with many close calls, a bad case of malaria, a few minor strokes and heart attacks, and most recently, a pacemaker surgery. God has blessed him with good health inspite of all these obstacles, and the most loving, gentle and faithful spirit I have ever known. While he can't springboard me across the pool into the deep end or do cannon balls with my siblings anymore, he will always be the strongest, kindest, liveliest and most optimistic person I know. I love you, Grandpa!
